What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device by websites you visit. We also use similar technologies like localStorage for the same purposes. Below we use "cookies" to mean both.
The cookies Crewo uses
1. Strictly necessary (always on)
These are required for Crewo to work. You can't turn them off. They keep you signed in, remember your current organisation and basic preferences, and protect the service from abuse.
- Authentication / session (Supabase), keeps you signed in.
- UI preferences (e.g. theme, sidebar state).
- Your cookie choice (so we don't ask every visit).
2. Analytics (only with your consent)
With your consent we use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how people use Crewo so we can improve it. We use PostHog in a privacy-friendly way:
- No advertising trackers.
- No session recording.
- No autocapture of every click, only the events we explicitly send.
- Profiles are only created for signed-in users (so we can fix issues account by account).
PostHog sets a small number of cookies / localStorage entries to recognise return visits and group events into sessions. If you choose Essential only, PostHog is opted out and won't send events.
3. Payments
When you start a checkout or open the billing portal, Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and to complete the payment. These are essential to the payment flow.
Your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Your current choice: Not set.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in working.
